Sri Lankan Spicy Pasta

Bringing a Sri Lankan twist to classic pasta! This dish uses Delight Spicy Chili Flakes and Black Pepper to infuse a bold, spicy kick into your favorite pasta. Add chicken or shrimp for extra protein, and enjoy a fusion of flavors!

Ingredients:

  • 200g pasta (penne or spaghetti)
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 1 tsp Delight Spicy Chili Flakes
  • 1 tsp Delight Spicy Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Delight Spicy Paprika
  • 1 tsp Delight Spicy Cumin Powder
  • 200g chicken or shrimp (optional)
  • ½ cup heavy cream or coconut milk
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Cook the pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a pan, heat the oil. Add garlic and onions, and sauté until they soften.
  3. Stir in the chopped tomato, Delight Spicy Chili Flakes, Black Pepper, Paprika, and Cumin Powder. Cook until the tomatoes break down.
  4. If adding chicken or shrimp, cook them thoroughly in the spice mixture.
  5. Add heavy cream or coconut milk to create a creamy sauce. Season with salt.
  6. Toss in the cooked pasta and mix well. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
